Service personnel/consultants/contractors

Internal contractor

An internal contractor includes service personnel, consultants and contractors who work for the University on a long-term basis (for example, Guild Catering, FM consultant project officers, lawn mower contractor, brick paver contractor, GR Services, UWA Sports, Unicare and so on) who by the nature of their contract are eligible for a UWA parking permit. The hours they work will determine whether they pay the part or full-time staff rate.

Personnel who perform similar tasks as UWA staff (for example Cleaning Services, Planning and Design, Workshops) will pay the same fee. The hours they work will determine whether they pay the part or full-time staff rate.

External contractor

An external contractor includes service personnel, consultants and contractors who visit the campus on an irregular basis and who are not eligible for a UWA parking permit.

University vehicles

Vehicles with UWA branding

All UWA "crested" vehicles must have a permit and must park in compliance with the conditions on the permit.

If the vehicle with UWA branding has been approved for a reserved bay, please complete an application form.

When you have filled in the form you must have it verified by the sponsoring faculty/department head or administrative officer. When the form has been verified please return it to UniPark.

There is no cost for a Parking Authority permit for vehicles with UWA branding.

Unmarked University vehicles

If an unmarked University vehicle is required to have access to parking areas other than those to which it is entitled (for example, reserved, maintenance, red, yellow) it will also be subject to a charge for a Parking Authority permit.

Examples of these categories include some vehicles used by senior staff, departments, the Guild and Facilities Management.

If there is a need for a permit, please complete an application form. When you have filled in the form you must have it verified by the sponsoring faculty/department head or administrative officer. When the form has been verified please return it to UniPark.
